Mission Statement

The mission of the Belleville Engineering Department is to provide dependable public infrastructure in a professional manner, promoting positive community development, economic growth and safe transportation mobility, while maintaining a high quality of life for residents, businesses and visitors to our City.

17th Street Extension Phase IV

Work has begun on the final phase of 17th Street. Thiems Construction is presently performing tree removal and has begun work on storm sewers. 

East Washington Coupler

The CITY OF BELLEVILLE will receive sealed proposals for the East Washington Coupler on March 13, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. Local Time.  Bids will be opened publicly after bid due time and date noted above at the office of the City Clerk. 

Plans/Information packet will be available on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at 213 South Illinois Street.  Costs:  $100 for bidders and $35 for sub-contractors and/or suppliers. 

Bidders must be prequalified with the Illinois Department of Transportation.  Please include your Certificate of Eligibility prior to the opening of the bid. For further information call the Office of the City Engineer at 618-257-7649.

 

General Maintenance Projects

The CITY OF BELLEVILLE will receive sealed proposals for three GENERAL MAINTENANCE PROJECTS on March 13, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. Local Time. Bids will be opened publicly after bid due time and date noted above at the office of the City Clerk.

The projects are: 2012 SIDEWALK MAINTENCE, 2012 INFRASTRUCTURE MAINTENANCE, AND 2012 DITCH MAINTENANCE.
 
Plans/Proposals will be available on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at 213 South Illinois Street.  If you choose to download proposals we will require that you submit payment prior to the opening of the bid.  Costs:  $50 for plans/proposals.
 
Bidders must be prequalified with the Illinois Department of Transportation.  Please include your Certificate of Eligibility prior to the opening of the bid. For further information call the Office of the City Engineer at 618-257-7649.
