We think 3 on 3 basketball is awesome for skill development at all age levels because…You get MORE touches on the ball (you're only sharing it with 3 players instead of 5). Six passes is an average possession in 3 on 3, meaning each player will have the ball at least TWICE every possession. You have more space to try new moves and practice new skills. Your defensive footwork and agility gets challenged because you have to cover more distance with fewer players on the court. You IMPROVE passing, dribbling, shooting, cutting, spacing, rebounding and defense. All players have equal opportunity to make plays and help their team win. Recreation Program Coordinator: Lyndsey Younger.

Flag football is a growing alternative to full contact football that teaches basic skills and concepts of the game without the risk of injury. Our flag football program is designed to introduce young athletes to the game while providing a safe environment for growing in the sport. Patterned after regular football, teams run or pass the ball down the field in order to score a touchdown. The primary difference in flag football is that it is a “no contact” game. Instead of tackling the ball carrier, defensive players try to pull the flags off the ball carrier’s belt. It’s the perfect game for boys and girls ages 6 to 11. If your child wants to play football, why risk the injury? Make it flag football instead!
