Role of the Sewer Lines Department
The City of Belleville owns and operates nearly 300 miles of sewer lines. The Sewer Lines Department provides maintenance and service to all City of Belleville owned sewer lines. Many of these lines are in the street or easements in subdivisions.

If problems develop with your sewer, please call (618) 233-7146 between 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The sewer crew can be paged after hours, on weekends, and holidays at (618) 234-1212. Someone will
be dispatched to check out the complaint.
