The mission of Belleville's Engineering Department is to provide dependable public infrastructure in a professional manner, promoting positive community development, economic growth, and safe transportation mobility, while maintaining a high quality of life for residents, businesses, and visitors to our city.
Construction of the Raab Avenue Resurfacing project was completed in summer 2020. The project included new sidewalks, curbs and ADA accessible curb ramps. This project elevates the neighborhood aesthetically and safety-wise. The Eckert Administration has completed several street projects throughout Belleville nearby schools, including this one right by Henry Raab Elementary School.
“We are managing the repair of some infrastructure that is as old as the city is, and Raab Avenue was a street that was in pretty severe disrepair,” said Mayor Mark Eckert. “We’re really happy with the results of this project and know they lift up this neighborhood.”
