A Message From Our City Engineer

“Labored the elephant and brought forth a mouse”

Elephants and mice do not usually figure in the design of infrastructure for the region in which we live. The reason pachyderms and rodents figure in this text is that they help illustrate a notion about efficiencies. 

In improving upon the infrastructure of our City we want a dollar of effort to produce as much value as we can harness from it. Anything less than a dollar of value is lost to inefficiencies. Therefore to reduce such loss of your tax dollars we have nearly completed developing a system of daily operations that helps us account for and manage our work load. Our guiding principle in that is the dictum “What gets measured gets managed.” READ MORE....
