The Counselor in Training (CIT) program is designed to give students going into 7th - 9th grades the opportunity to work in a camp setting. This is a training program which focuses upon gaining the skills necessary to become a camp counselor. Applicants and parents must understand that the CIT program does not exist as a day care program or a reduced camp for teens. Those who are selected as CITs will be treated as camp staff and expected to act as such. CITs that do not follow the staff rules and choose to behave as campers will follow our camper disciplinary action policy which is up to dismissal from the camp. It is expected that CITs will fill this application out themselves, with assistance from a parent if needed. PLEASE NOTE: Being selected for a CIT is NOT guaranteed until confirmed by the Recreation Supervisor and a CIT is NOT guaranteed to be hired as a counselor after completing the CIT program.
Application Deadline: March 13 (Earlier the better for setting up and scheduling an interview!)
